All call: Open tryouts set Saturday, April 22 at Southeastern University

The Lakeland Tropics, members of the USL's Premier Development League, will be holding open tryouts  Saturday, April 22. coach Eoghan Conlon has announced.

The tryout will start at 6 p.m. and will be held at  Southeastern University. Cost is $50 per player for those who per-register, or $75 for those who sign up at the field Saturday. Registration can be completed by calling the Tropics office at 863-240-0101.

Conlon said they are looking for talent at all positions.

“”What we're looking for are players who have the ability, or close to the ability, to play at the professional level,” Conlon said. “We want to create an environment that will showcase their skills.”

The Tropics inaugural game is May 11 in Miami, and the first of seven home games is Saturday, May 20 at historic Bryant Stadium against The Villages SC, the defending southeastern division champions in the PDL.
